January is Cervical Health Awareness Month, which makes this a good time to learn more about treating cervical cancer.

If your health care provider determines that you have cervical cancer, you’ll have further tests to determine the extent, or stage, of your cancer. Treatment for cervical cancer depends on several factors, including the stage of the cancer, other health problems you may have and your preferences. Surgery, radiation or chemotherapy, or a combination of the three, may be used.
