Learning that you have cancer is a difficult experience. You may feel anxious, afraid or overwhelmed. You also may wonder how you will cope in the days ahead.

Almost half of all men and one-third of all women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer at some time in their lives. And a cancer diagnosis often comes with little warning.

Knowing what to expect, making plans for how to proceed and taking care of yourself can make this stressful time easier.
